What to compare

A fair repair quote shows its work.

Two shops can quote $400 apart for the same brake job. The difference is usually in labor hours, parts quality or warranty. We ask every shop to spell those out.

FAQ

Driver questions

Is GetAutoServices free?

Yes. Requesting and comparing quotes is free for drivers. Shops may pay a fee to quote on jobs; that doesn't change the price you're quoted.

Who sees my phone number?

Only the shop you choose. Other shops see your vehicle, the job, city and ZIP code only.

What if I don't know what's wrong?

Choose "Check engine light" or describe the symptoms. Shops will quote a diagnostic first, and many credit that fee toward the repair.

Can the final price change?

A quote is based on your description. If the shop finds something else during inspection, it should give you a revised written estimate and get your approval before doing extra work.

Do I have to book anything?

No. You can compare, ask questions and decline every quote at no cost.

Stop guessing what the repair should cost.
